Admissions Schedule

We want you to discover how our curriculum and community make Meridian a distinctive and special place to learn. This web site, our information sessions, a visit during the school day, and conversations with Meridian families are all ways to help you learn about our school.

Come learn more! Meridian hosts information sessions in the fall and early winter. Come hear about the school, speak with students, parents, and teachers, and find out about the learning that you can experience at Meridian. If you have missed all of the sessions, please call the school to arrange for an introduction and tour.

Beginning Steps

Fall – Applications are available.

Fall and Winter – Come to an information session. Dates are listed on our home page. Contact us to let us know of your interest.

Fall – If your child has MCAS test scores, those are acceptable standardized test results. If not, please arrange for your child to complete either the ISEE or SSAT exams or contact the school about alternatives.

Final Application Dates

November - February – Families should schedule an interview to take place by February 15. The student and parent portions of the application are due prior to the date of the interview (which may be scheduled prior to receipt of these materials). During the visit, applicants are hosted by a current Meridian student for half a day of classes. Meridian does not have a formal interview with parents. However, parents are invited to sit in on classes and/or speak with a member of the admissions committee as well. When signing up for your child's visit, please let us know if you would like to take advantage of either of these opportunities.

February 1 (but sooner is better) – The school report should be submitted to the applicant's current school, and teacher recommendations should be given to the applicant's mathematics and English teachers.

February 1 – Parent and student materials are due to Meridian by this date or sooner depending on the timing of the applicant's visit. Applications will be accepted after this date on a rolling basis, if openings remain. Most financial aid will be awarded during the first round of admissions.

February 15 – Financial aid forms are due to the SSS (sooner is better and online submission is strongly recommended as it speeds up the process).

March 10 – Applicants are notified of the admissions decision.

April 1 – Accepted families indicate their desire to attend by returning their reservation agreement.

Note: Once the regular deadline for applications has passed, Meridian will accept applications on a rolling basis. However, openings and financial aid may be limited for applicants not in the regular pool. Please contact the school to find out if we have openings in the grade in which you are interested.
